By its nature such a decree is effective for only two weeks.
Robert Raich, counsel to the Oakland CBC, reports that the Oakland City Council Tuesday night unanimously renewed its "Declaration of a Local Public Health Emergency with respect to Safe, Affordable Access to Medical Cannabis in the City of Oakland."
The City Council also instructed the City Clerk to place the item on the agenda for renewal every two weeks, "until abatement of the emergency."
This is another political victory for Jeff Jones and the Oakland medical marijuana
movement.
