Wednesday afternoon the federal magistrate in Los Angeles refused the government’s request for a bench warrant for McCormick’s arrest and immediate bond revocation on the basis of an unproven method for testing for an obscure cannabinoid metabolite.

The Judge may have been influenced by the fact that the federal prosecutors had previously caused McCormick to be illegally detained for two weeks for having supposedly failed a "drug test" which he had in fact passed.
