NORML Starts NORML Hemp
Alliance
September 2, 1999(Marijuananews note: The
message below was sent to approximately 400 hemp businesses, in response to repeated
requests from hemp entrepreneurs who do not like the Me-No-Marijuana party line of the
prohibitionist hemp associations. Whether or not hemp is marijuana, freedom is freedom.

Welcome to the NORML Hemp Alliance bulletin board. The NORML Hemp Alliance is a project of
the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), the oldest and most
recognized lobby for cannabis law reform.
NORML supports the legalization of cannabis for adult recreational use, provision of
medical marijuana to the seriously ill, and cultivation of hemp as an agricultural
resource and viable consumer good.
You are invited to support the promotion of hemp by becoming a member of the NHA. This
is an excellent opportunity to learn about industry developments in your area, keep
up-to-date with hemp legislative initiatives, and network with others in the hemp
industry. Members receive a weekly summary of cannabis legal developments from around the
world, have access to hemp-related legal advice from the NORML Foundation legal
department, and can instantly communicate with colleagues from the world of industrial
hemp using NHA's online bulletin board.
The bulletin board is a valuable resource enabling members to ask questions, share
ideas, and meet other hemp business members (retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers,
growers, consultants) around North America.
In addition, members of the NHA will be listed on NORML's web page at www.norml.org with active links to your e-mail address
and/or website.
The first six months trial-membership in the NHA is free. Please let us know if you
wish to have your business listed on the NORML web page during this trial period.
If you decide to continue your membership with NHA, an annual fee of $25.00 will help
support NORML's cannabis law reform efforts.
At any time if you wish to be removed from the NHA e-mail list, simply send a request
to NHA Director Tom Dean (tom@norml.org ) and
you will be unsubscribed immediately.
(Marijuananews note: If anyone wants to be added to the list
they should contact Tom.)
NORML is determined to increase cannabis awareness through our support of the expanding
hemp market. The NORML Hemp Alliance is a great way you can help your business grow while
becoming active in cannabis law reform.
We look forward to working with you in the coming months.
Sincerely,
R. Keith Stroup, Esq.
