Nine Australian police officers tested positive for drugs
A new drug program undertaken in the state of New South Wales has led to the detection
of drugs in the blood of nine police officers. Cocaine, amphetamines, ecstasy and
marijuana were recorded in drug tests on the targeted officers, who now face dismissal.
More than 20 police officers have been tested under the
programme under way for just three months and two officers have already quit the service
after receiving the test results.
