Lie About Medical Marijuana,
But Admit That It Was Suppressed When It Was The Only Relief Available -- From the Mfiles

on the ballot in Washington state this November. This site is a federally funded
prohibitionist propaganda campaign against this initiative.)

It is projected that between 1996 and the end of 2000, over twenty statewide elections
will have taken place to legalize the medical use of marijuana. It is necessary to go
through the political process to legalize marijuana as medicine because the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) has ruled that marijuana does not have medical utility.
(Ed. note: The FDA has made no such ruling. This is a lie, plain and
simple.)
In fact, even in the 1970s when no effective medicines to treat chemotherapy
induced nausea had been developed, marijuana was considered by many in the medical
community as the best available medicine.
(Ed. note: This is really bizarre. Although they dont seem to
realize it, they are admitting that marijuana prohibition caused great suffering and death
for cancer patients in the 1970s! NORML filed suit to get marijuana rescheduled in 1972.
The DEA fought this, denying that marijuana had any medical value. Now they are admitting
that it was the best available medicine. There are now new pharmaceutical anti-emetics,
but they are very expensive and do not work for everyone.)
