Danish Olympic
Snowboarder Faces Felony Charges for Possession of 2 Grams in Nevada.
Canadian Charged with Being Under the Influence of Marijuana
This is very unfortunate for these men, but it
will certainly keep the cannabis controversy raging in both Canada and Denmark. The Danes
have been flirting with legalization and this is apt to force the issue. Since this
involves "Sports" is will even be reported in the Washington Post, which only
reports marijuana stories when a sports figure is arrested.

MINDEN, Nev. - Two Olympic snowboarders are due in a Nevada court today on
marijuana-related charges.
Michael Kildevaeld, a member of Denmarks snowboarding team, and Canadian Brett
Tippie were arrested Saturday after a sheriffs deputy stopped their car for speeding
near Topaz Lake. They are due in court today.
Deputies said they smelled marijuana smoke while speaking to
Kildevaeld, who was driving. A drug sniffing dog found about two grams of what was
believed to be marijuana and a pipe inside the car.
Kildevaeld, 31, supposedly admitted the substance marijuana belonged to him. (Ed. note: Never admit to anything.)
Kildevaeld has been charged with felony marijuana possession and misdemeanor charges of
possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. His bail was set at
$7,000. (Ed. note: It is a felony to possess two grams in Nevada,
but it is only a misdemeanor to drive under the influence.)
Tippie, 29, was charged with being under the influence of marijuana. His bail was
set at $5,000.
