Please tell me what you think
about the web site, or anything else that comes to mind. I welcome all of your comments
and suggestions. But before you do I should tell you that...
1. I am not
an attorney, so I can't give you any legal advice. In any case, you need a lawyer in your
own area to advise you on what your state laws are and how they are enforced in your area.
If you are in real trouble, you should check out the NORML legal committee. See www.norml.org
However, remember, lawyers practice law for a living, and 1,500 people get
arrested on marijuana charges every day, so it is not possible for NORML to provide you
with a lawyer.
2. I am not an expert on "drug" testing. For the best advice on that
see www.norml.org or call them at 1-900-97-NORML during
office hours, Eastern time.
It will cost you $2.95 per minute, but they know what they are talking about,
and you will be making a contribution to the cause.
To answer the most commonly asked questions: The metabolites of cannabis can
generally be detected in urine for a period of two to four weeks, depending on the level
of usage. A little more for heavy users; a little less for light users. And yes, the tests
can sometimes be beaten, and yes there are false positives. And no, you don't have any
rights. Well, not many. For more info call NORML.
3. I very much regret that I do not know of anyone who can provide you with
medical cannabis. I get some heartbreaking mail from people in what I am sure is genuine
need. That is why I am doing this.
4. I am now getting so much email that I cannot always respond. This does not
mean that I don't value your input, but I have a hard time keeping up. I regret that I
cannot give interviews for class courses, or answer questions like "why should
marijuana be legal." All of that is on the site. The Internet is self-serve. It is a
great cafeteria for the mind. All you can eat for free! It is is our medium. Learn to use
it.
5. I am in favor of the legalization of marijuana, so rather than write me to
tell me that the laws are wrong, polish your letter writing skills and write your local
newspaper editor and politicians.
6. Join NORML and www.mapinc.org Don't just
complain. Stand up for your rights. Don't live in fear. The DEA is not monitoring your
computer or mine. It wouldn't do them any good. The only thing that I do that they don't
like is to tell the truth.
7. Please bring any typos to my attention. I am my own editor, and I do have
trouble seeing my own mistakes.
