Article From The Calgary Sun
Is So Dumb That Reading It Could Cause Brain Damage.
Prohibitionist Drivel At Its Worst.
(Marijuananews note: This is just breathtaking.
The best two word explanation for marijuana prohibition is "bad journalism."Most
Canadian papers are far superior to those in DEAland in their coverage of marijuana
prohibition, but there must be something in the water in Alberta. Canadian whiskey
perhaps.

However, this article does show the collaboration between
Canadian and DEAland narks as they conspire against the sovereignty of Canada and the
liberties of the people in both countries.
Canadians beware.)

BUDDING PROBLEM - CALGARY POT GROWERS COPIED IN U.S.
Californian cops know the most potent pot on their local drug
scene comes from the basements of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
(Marijuananews note: There is absolutely no evidence to
support this statement. First, Canadian marijuana makes up a tiny percentage of the
DEAland market.

Second, there is no data comparing average potency of California
indoor and/or outdoor marijuana with Canadian, much less that from Calgary.
Third, being indoors in Canada is just like being indoors anywhere else. Four walls.
One ceiling. One floor.
Fourth, most of the seeds come from Vancouver, and/or Holland, and produce the same
plants wherever they are grown, and the methods are the same everywhere.
Fifth, there has been a large DEAland indoor growing industry for years, especially in
California.
Sixth, with all due respect to my dear Canadian friends, there is some excellent weed
grown in Western Canada, mostly in BC, but it is no better than that grown all over
DEAland. I have even had excellent weed grown in Washington D.C., very near the White
House.)

And they knew it had to happen.
(Marijuananews note: And I suppose this reporter read their minds.)
Growers down there are starting to emulate the
experts in Calgary's drug underworld, by trying to grow their
marijuana indoors in hydroponic grow operations, hoping to match the Calgary perfection.
(Marijuananews note: What makes this article all the more amazing is
that the same "reporter" took just the opposite line last year. Short term
memory loss?)

Which is where Calgary city police drug unit officers, Det. Pat Tetley, 46, and Det.
Steve Walton , 42, are about to make a difference.
They'll soon be travelling to Los Angeles to give
presentations to a seminar of 5,000 law enforcement officers on how to detect and bust up
indoor hydroponic pot operations.
In the past four years , Tetley and Walton have been attending the California
Narcotic Officers Association training institute -- which has been a brain-storming
think-tank for drug enforcement officers for more than 30 years.

Previously, the pair were learning from the experts.
Now, they're returning as experts to teach others.
"Historically, California had to deal with outdoor marijuana growing operations,
but now they're being inundated with indoor operations," said Walton.
Crooks are going indoors because the cops are hitting their
outdoor grows too hard.
(Marijuananews note: First, the "crooks" are the
ones breaking down doors and murdering homeowners and stealing their life savings.

Second, there is still a huge amount of marijuana being grown
outdoors in California. The size of the plots has generally been reduced, but this year
some enormous plantations have been destroyed.)
"They asked us to take our expertise down to them," said Walton.
Calgary's home-grown pot has turned up as far south as Arizona, where it's so potent,
traffickers in the U.S. will trade 1 lb. of Calgary bud marijuana for 1 lb. of cocaine.
(Marijuananews note: Yeah, sure. This line has become a
staple of prohibitionist propaganda on both sides of the border to justify marijuana
prohibition in Canada.

the Canadian Prohibitionists Equate Marijuana And Cocaine In the New Party Line
If Calgary weed makes it as far south as Arizona, it has probably been bricked and is
far less valuable.
If marijuana really did bring the same price as cocaine in Arizona, that would just be
proof of the stupidity of marijuana prohibition. I can't even find anyone who knows the
price of cocaine.)
Tetley, a 23-year veteran, and Walton, a 21-year veteran, will
spend a week teaching law officers how to bust the indoor pot growing operations.
(Marijuananews note: Then they can go to D.C. and teach
the Pentagon how to make nuclear weapons. Are the Canadian taxpayers paying to send these
two narks to LA? That is something that a real journalist would want to know, but then he
couldnt get a job working for the Calgary Sun.)
